We respect your privacy. My Storage List is designed so your inventory stays on your device. This page explains what we collect, what we don't, and the rights you have.
1. Who we are
My Storage List is the data controller for any personal data processed via the app and this website. Contact: privacy@mystoragelist.com.
2. What we collect
- Storage data: Photos, names, descriptions, locations, and quantities you add to the app. Stored on your device and optionally synced via your iCloud account.
- Device information: iOS version, device model, and anonymous crash logs to debug issues.
- Optional API keys: If you enable OpenAI enhanced recognition, your key is encrypted and stored in iOS Keychain. We never see it.
- Purchases: Handled entirely by Apple's App Store via StoreKit. We only verify purchase status.
3. How we use your data
- Provide the storage organization features you requested.
- Run AI item recognition on-device.
- Sync your data across your devices through your iCloud account.
- Improve performance and fix bugs.
- Respond when you contact support.
4. Legal basis (GDPR)
Where applicable, we rely on contract performance (to provide requested services), legitimate interests (to improve and secure the app), consent (for optional features and marketing), and legal obligations.
5. Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or another region with similar rights, you may access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data. You can also withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Contact us at privacy@mystoragelist.com.
6. Security
- Your data is stored locally on your device and synced via Apple iCloud with end-to-end encryption.
- Apple Intelligence processing happens entirely on-device.
- Optional API keys are stored encrypted in iOS Keychain.
- We do not operate a server holding your inventory data.
7. Data retention
Your data stays on your device and in your iCloud until you delete it. Removing the app deletes local data; iCloud data can be removed via iOS Settings.
8. Third parties
- Apple iCloud for optional sync.
- Apple StoreKit for purchases.
- OpenAI API only if you choose to enable it with your own key. Requests go directly from your device to OpenAI under their terms.
We do not share your data with any other third parties.
9. International transfers
iCloud may store data in Apple data centers worldwide under Apple's safeguards. OpenAI requests go to OpenAI's infrastructure if enabled.
10. Cookies
The iOS app does not use cookies. This website may use minimal cookies for functionality only. We do not use ad networks or tracking SDKs.
11. Children
The app is rated 4+. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without parental consent and comply with COPPA where applicable.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated in-app or via the App Store update notes.
